Our growing distribution company in Boston is looking to expand their finance team with an Accounting Manager.
Responsibilities include:

Manage and supervise the daily operation of the six team members in the accounting department and be available as back up when necessary for senior finance leadership.

Ensure all daily transactions are completed, reviewed and posted.   Develop, review and update the procedures and processes for the timely and accurate recording of all daily transactions. Which include:
              Invoicing
              Cash Receipts
              Cash Sales
              PO Matching and Vouchering
              A/P Vouchering
              A/P Cash Disbursements
              Update daily cash balances and executive data dashboards
               

Perform monthly closings which include:
              AR, AP and Inventory
              Ensure proper cutoff
              Post transactions to the G/L
               Perform reconcilements and verify balances
               
Financial Statements
Work with CFO to prepare monthly financial statements, budget to actual reports, variance analysis, KPIs

Annual Audit and interim compilations
Work with CFO to prepare work papers, schedules and account analyses for annual audit and for interim compilations
              Maintain book depreciation schedules

ERP Implementation         
Work closely with the CFO and ERP Implementation team to assist with implementation, training and maintenance of new ERP

Manage and Supervise Accounting Staff
Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals; provide training, and maintaining effective communication within the department
Annual performance evaluations
              Manage employee schedules and approve PTO

Other projects, duties and tasks as directed by the CFO

Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in finance
Minimum of 5+ years of experience 
Manufacturing or distribution experience preferred

Our growing manufacturing client has an immediate need for a Contract Administrator.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Answer inquires in regard to customer orders to meet customer requirements and act as a liaison between the company and customers to resolve customer complaints.

 

Oversee and review bid solicitations and prepare bid packages in accordance with solicitation specifications.

 

Contact vendors to determine availability of parts.

 

Provide complete cost estimate and data to company President for approval.

 

Write up order form for new contract awards.

 

Assist engineering staff in creating bill of material.

 

Provide pricing and support data to customers and establish payment terms in accordance with company policy, including milestone billings and invoicing.

 

Prepare the DD250 invoice form and process for inputting approval and distribution.

 

Monitor test schedules and line item schedules to assure compliance with contract terms and prepare integrated milestone schedules as required.

 

Interface with engineering, manufacturing, production and shipping to insure compliance and conformance with contract requirements and schedules.

 

Attend bid conferences.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

 

  • B.S. in Business Administration or equivalent contract administration experience.

  • 3 to 5 years experience in contract administration.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
